Costumamos relacionar os elementos da natureza à formas orgânicas e curvilíneas, mas a geometria presente nas composições naturais muitas vezes são delimitadas por ângulos retos e paralelos. O bismuto é um metal pesado que se estrutura a partir de quadrados e retângulos em movimento espiralar, sua coloração iridescente nasce a partir do contato do elemento com o oxigênio, gerando um reflexo característico captado em detalhes nas imagens da série.

O enquadramento aproximado da fotografia macro transforma em abstração este metal formado a partir de um conjunto de formações piramidais. O artista busca investigar os ângulos e contrastes na iluminação que apenas os cristais desse elemento são capazes de proporcionar. As impressões dessa série foram realizadas em Metal Print, uma superfície de alumínio que confere brilho e reflexão metálica para a obra, dialogando com a materialidade do bismuto.

We usually relate the elements of nature to organic and curvilinear shapes, but the geometry present in natural compositions is often delimited by right and parallel angles. Bismuth is a heavy metal that is structured from squares and rectangles in a spiral movement, its iridescent coloring is born from the contact of the element with oxygen, generating a characteristic reflection captured in detail in the images of the series.

The approximate framework of macro photography transforms this metal formed from a set of pyramidal formations into abstraction. The artist seeks to investigate the angles and contrasts in the lighting that only the crystals of this element are capable of providing. The prints of this series were made on Metal Print, an aluminum surface that gives shine and metallic reflection to the work, dialoguing with the materiality of the bismuth.
